Extramalt productsMalt extract is a natural product without additives, high in nutritional-physiological value, because it contains:
- very easily digested carbohydrates
- low sucrose content
- enzymatically hydrolyzed protein
- vitamins
- minerals
- enzymes (in diastatic malt extracts only)
- highly distinctive flavour and aroma components
Malt extract is a good substitute for refined sugars (sucrose, glucose syrup, etc.). Besides its sweetness and energy it also contains other nutrients in an appropriate nutritional form.
Malt extract contains about half the sweetness of sucrose, the same sweetness as glucose syrup 42DE and is slightly less sweet than glucose itself.
